Wilderness Connection has vacation rentals available on the historic Stermitz Ranch for weekly rent (or longer). We are located 30 minutes from We currently have two cabins on the ranch available for rent. Kids are welcome, but since this is a working ranch we do not allow pets. Smoking is not permitted. The first cabin has spectacular views and consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and sleeps 8-10 people. Two of the bedrooms are master suites each with a king bed and private bath, and the remaining 2 rooms have a bunk type set up with a shared bathroom down the hall. Complete kitchen and comfortable seating in the living room will make you feel at home.

The second cabin rental is a historic 1916 Schoolhouse that has been completely renovated. It consists of a king bed and two convertible twin beds. This is a studio-type set up with a separate kitchen and one main living area. This works well for a couple or a family of four. It is complete with a kitchen consisting of a full size range, farmhouse sink, small fridge/freezer, and dishes, pots/pans, and utensils. Original details abound – school desks, books, chalkboard, wood floors, old photos, tin ceiling, etc. The Schoolhouse has spectacular mountain views from every window, and the space is flooded with light. Comfortable seating invites you to sit by the fire and relax in the solitude that our ranch has to offer.

Yellowstone Park, 30 minutes from Chico Hot Springs, 15 minutes from world-class fishing on the Yellowstone River, and mere minutes from horseback riding with us on the Stermitz Ranch. In the winter you can cross-country ski and showshoe from the backdoor. We are 2 hours from snowmobiling in the world-renowned Cooke City area. If you prefer a more laid back vacation, you can spend hours sitting on the deck drinking coffee and watching Montana’s abundant wildlife.|
